  • Customer states that sometimes the car takes multiple attempts to start, had to have towed in. When trying to leave work car refused to start and could only hear a humming noise. Technician performed diagnostics and noted the would only crank every few attempts. Checked stored faults and found errors with the brake switch and start inhibited. Tried to move the shifter out of part when the car did start and it would not move, tested the brake switch and confirmed faulty. Recommend brake lamp switch replacement.
  • Technician replaced the stop light switch, cleared the faults and test drove.

Recommend replacement of the #4 cylinder injector harness pigtail.
  • Technician installed a new injector harness pigtail for cylinder #4. Cleared fault and test drove. Misfire no longer present.
